Assistant Professor of French

The Department of French at Yale University intends to appoint a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2013, in Francophone literature and culture with a focus on Maghreb and Beur literature and questions of immigration.

Candidates should demonstrate a capacity for original scholarship and a strong commitment to energetic and innovative teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels; the Ph.D. by time of appointment and native or near-native command of French are required. Knowledge of Arabic is desired.
